Emily Carmichael has told CinemaBlend how the dimension of these creatures comes from.
Watch out, spoilers! If you haven’t seen the movie, don’t keep reading
Pacific Rim: Insurrection has already reached the cinemas and has established a very interesting promise for future deliveries: moving to the world of the Kaijus. The media CinemaBlend has had the opportunity to ask the screenwriter of the film, Emily Carmichael, how you imagine this dimension and, although not official, we can get an idea:
Well, an interesting clue is the fact that the precursors want to detonate Mount Fuji and release tons of air particles that block the sun, which tells you what their world is like. Covered with dark clouds. There is a very thick red atmosphere that we see when the world of precursors is looming. So, I imagine a thick, mysterious fog is part of the universe
Judging by Carmichael’s statements, the next installment of the saga is likely to take place in a very different environment than we knew so far.
The sequel, which has already reaped more than 400 million dollars worldwide, is located a decade after the first part. John Boyega plays the son of Stacker Pentecost and is in charge of piloting the Jaeger Gypsy Avenger. Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day return as Mako Mori and Burn Gorman, in addition to Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Adria Arjona and Jing Tian, who complete the cast.
